Welcome to Loon Racing

Home of the 2008 BWL State Championship Team!

The Loon Race Team (LRT) is committed to creating a learning environment in which athletes can explore their true potential. LRT is a skiing community, in which the membership is committed in the process of developing each althete's own self-understanding by performing on the field of play, while participating within the team framework and, hopefully, when making choices in their lives twenty years from now.

LRT is committed to

• Long-term process over short-term results
• Self-awareness through the process of skiing and ski racing
• Self-accountability
• Reinforcing team synergy and camaraderie among racers
• Emphasizing the positive aspects of competition
• Encouraging its athletes to develop a positive self-image, goal-setting skills, and a realistic sense of accomplishment.

LRT's program begins at age six (6) with the development-level Rutriders, and continues through to the highly competitive J1 senior-level FIS racers. At all levels, LRT you will find skiers who have a great time both on and off the slopes. Family involvement and friendships are a big part of the team atmosphere that LRT encourages.
